Mid-year has ended, time for you to go back to training! happy, sad,excited?
hope you all did well for mid-year because, we don't know if sz is going to square it, multiply it or add the number of sucides..i guess all the seniors understand what i'm talking about.. Hah, so remember to study hard whenever there's exam..
But, not forgetting to keep up your fitness by going for a 10mins run, or doing sit-ups, push ups or squats at home.. You won't want to feel wobbly on court right? so rmb to keep up yall fitness..

You'll be having your Energizer League on 18 May against commenwealth, so please put in your best during trainings and minimize scoldings, so that you can prepared yourself for the matches:D The fixtures please ask from your captains..

hey guys,
so tomorrow is the school open house.
apparently today coach talked to us about getting the students to join wsss and also join the netball team. So that, there will be enough people to play for the C div' next year. woohooo!! And we did a poster for promoting our school + netball. Hope to see you guys come down to help us in getting students and also see our poster we made. Yeah!!

ps: many thankss to WAN QIAN /YUN REI /YIWEI /WAN LIN/ XINYI / CANDY/ SYAFIQAH/ NADIRA who spent the night making the posters and bookmarks. :D

Anyways, we as a team must put in our effort to come down for training as it is a commitment that each one of us have to do. So advice each other to come down for training as we only have less than 2 months till the TOURNAMENT.

FYI, next week training will be on courtwork and Anni will only be available next week to train us.So i hope everyone can make it for the training. (:

ANND get well soon SongZhen,
she was sick and nt feeling unwell bt still came down to train us.
Thats how much she cares about us, so in return we must promise to do our best in each training.
It doesnt matter if we dont win, what matter is that we give our best. JIAYOUS everybody!!

I guess everyone should know, Mini League has officially ended.
guess everyone should had fun playing with your teams right?
First, congrats to Super Mario! Champion for the Mini League whereas the rest of the teams like Snow White, Spongebob, Strawberry Shortcake , Smurfs and Doraemon. Good job to all teams!
I supposed at first, all of us wanted to win quite badly..but towards the end i guess winning/ losing isn't that important after all.. At least thats what i think la, because i had fun playing with my team.
Hope you've learnt something during this league.
Now that mini league has ended, we're back to our own squads
we can expect the yelling from coach and the sprinting & running.. but, like coach said if we put in our best during trainings. Trainings could be as fun as Mini League.
Rmb what jess said, we've only left with 2 more months, Let's ace Jan's West zone tournament.
Let's work hard together, as a team :D

try to go for some jogging too when you're free,
so that you can maintain your stamina and not die of exhaustion when training resumes .

im sure it feels very bad to have someone lost confidence in you .
but that's because we have really disappointed coach .
there is a friendly match this friday , 315pm .
show your best ,
no matter how difficult the match is ,
and gained back songzhen's confidence in us .
if you want her to be confident in us,
you have to be confidence with yourself first .
prove that you really really want to win ,
you will fight hard ,
and WILL WIN.
DON'T GIVE UP at any moment ,
regardless of how tired you are,
or how far you are behind .
dont let coach down anymore,
fight all the way till the final whistle blows,
and stay positive throughout the game .
when we're down by a few goals ,
think of your lesson learnt ,
calm yourself down,
and remind yourself what will happen if you are going to give up.
im sure you dont want to hear those words songzhen said today again .
if you fall ,
tell yourself to get up immediately.
we cant afford to play badly again for the upcoming yuanching match,
or any other match,
neither can we afford to lose the kcp match .
grab this chance, and seize the opportunity to play in toa payoh sports hall .

try not to make mistakes like :
- dropping of balls
- bad passes
- stepping
- dragging
- replay
- repossession

if you make the above mistakes ,
dont ever ever blame yourself ,
because that seriously wont help .
you threw away the ball to the opponent yourself,
you get it back .
Defenders ,
move around the shooters ,
when ball is coming ,
jump to your max .
make it difficult for them to shoot and get the rebound.
communicate,
rmb to shout left right.
Midfielders ,
put in your own centre pass .
and dont hide behind defenders .
Shooters,
do your runs and most importantly,
be confident and shoot the ball in .
bear in mind to communicate,
keep shouting to scold when mistakes are made,
or shout to encourage.
I BELIEVE, AS A TEAM , WE CAN SUCCEED .

Don't let today's disappointment affect the other matches.Just because of this match,we're going to make next match an infallible one.We must fight hard,persevere till the end.We still have matches to go,don't waste your time being sad.In fact,you've to continue and make no mistakes in the next match.Cheerio!Jiayou!

but, we still have to rmb what coach said.. Have a positive attitude throughout the whole game , be there to support each other till the final whistle. yeah ? :D

the match w/ Dunman High would be postponed to this saturday 21 June. Game will start at 9AM , so we'll have to reach kallang netball centre at 8AM to do our warm up.

Take note !

- Don't wear ankle socks
- Cut nails
- Bring extra shirt to change after the match

andd, the next thing coach is going to check is our fringe, soooo.. all those with long fringes pls rmb to tied them up with rubber bands as we're not allowed to use clips..
(I'm sure those who wore ankle socks today knew what happen when we got check)

Anyway,just to share sth with you girls.Recently i watched Kung Fu Panda and i find that it is meaningful as it reminded me of my team.In the movie,it said that:

"The secret ingredients of my soup is nothing(!)
"To make something special, you just have to believe it's special."

From this we can applied to our team,we must have the trust in ourselves in order for us to succeed and win glory for our school.Remember this,we're representing our school for the League and competition.We must put on with our best behaviour and best performance in the matches.& not to waste the efforts that we've put in the heavy trainings.

3D2N Chalet

We're going to have chalet with the YuanChing girls.This is not compulsory.I need to know the no. of people who are going by this Saturday as we've to book the chalet asap.

Date: Mid-December (the dates yet to confirm)

Venue: Pasir Ris (most probably)

Sec 1s, you'll will only join us for the BBQ which is on the second day of the 3D2N chalet as we're worried for your safety as no teacher in-charge will be there.Seek for your understanding.You'll confirm with PeiYing and she will tell me.Sec 2s tell Jiayu or Chingying and they will tell me.Sec 3s tell Jessline ( which is me!).

due to safety reasons as Mdm Selena will not be around as she's going overseas

Dear friends,

I've thought alot and decided to post.Today attendance is really a disappointment.
& can tell that Coach is really frustrated.Our previous coach,Qiting and Kiranah,
i bet they feel frustrated & don't have the mood to teach us as well.As we always can't
get a full attendance,& it's really hard for them to teach us without full attendance.
I understand if we can't get a full attendance as most of us have our first CCA.However,
we need at least 10 people so that we can train.

If you did not come for training,please take the initiative to tell me as we are already big
enough without people nagging at us.& I bet everyone of you join Netball it's because
of your interest,yea?Since it's your interest,we should put more effort in it.Do you girls
remember how hard we tried to open this CCA?By begging Mr. Soh,finding 20 people to join,
and do you girls remember how happy we were when we know that there's netball as a
CCA in WestSpring?Not to forget,during school holidays we came back to school to play Netball.
I will never forget those laughters & moments we had together.

Although our standard are not good,but we can train for the better.We MUST improve,otherwise what's the purpose of opening Netball as a CCA?Beside having passion for
Netball,we should have the thought of aiming a goal.I asked a few of us,do you think
our Netball team can exceed.& most of them answered cannot.Not because we can't do it.
It's because of our attitudes towards Netball are not there yet.We MUST train real hard,double
of other schools as we started Netball this year while other schools start last year.

We shared the same passion,we're a team.
Let's bond together and exceed in Netball,alright?

If you do not know the rules or the basic of Netball,Please ask people to help you so that
we can move on to a harder one.Otherwise,we'll forever stucking at the same point.
It's okay if you made mistakes and cause the team to re-do again,but in your free time or day,
ask 1 or 2 people to teach you,or train yourself.

I really want to go out with Netball team together.But i think there's no chance.
As i know some of you might not want to go,or there'll be something on on that particular day.

Oh ya,there's something i wanna say.
Because this is training,i want seriousness in the training to show the coach that we're serious in
Netball.We can chat after the Netball but not during training.If possible,can don't laugh and do things fast?Like,when coach say gather.We will run there or walk fast to reach there.Instead
of walking slowly taking your time to gather?

Actually still have things to say,but i think it's extremely long so i think i just end here

to all c'div netballers, good luck for tomorrow's competiton. although we can't be there to support, but you people must still do your best kays! we believe in you.. bring good news back to us!

we will be making a netball t-shirt, any ideas on how you want it to look like, or the colour of the t-shirt and what to write on the shirt, tell to any sec 2 netballers. we hope we can make this t-shirt as soon as possible.
